NICOSIA, 12 May 2009 - Television coverage of the XIII
Games of the Small States of Europe will be incorporated
into the new age of high technology. Cyprus Olympic
Committee President, Ouranios Ioannides, announced
during a Press Conference at Olympic House here today

undertake satellite transmission of the GSSE
productions. Mr Ioannides also presented details of the
production by Lumiere TV and revealed the live
transmission schedule of the Cyprus Broadcasting
Sat is working together with the Organising Committee of
CYPRUS 2009 for the transmission of feed to the
participating countries and to the rest of the world via
satellite. Christodoulos Protopapas, Managing Director
of Hellas Sat stressed that his company has the

in High Definition. "Television coverage of the Games

other important international events and will not fall
short of the coverage of any other major sporting event
in Europe. The Organisers have signed up the best
'players' in the market in Hellas Sat and the CyBC and I
believe this forms a 'Cyprus National Team' ready to win
the gold," said Mr Protopapas.
