Trap shooting athletes Francesco Amici
(men) and Daniela Del Din (women) from San Marino are
considered the favorites for the gold medals in the Trap
Shooting events of the XIII Games of the Small States of
Competing against Cyprus' Phidias
Savvides and Leontios Leontiou, Amici is the conqueror
of Trap in the history of the GSSE, having won the most

opponents compete for the first time, as the women's
category is introduced on the GSSE Programme with the

1996, 2000, 2004), as well as in all major International
Shooting Sport Federation events, with some excellent
results. He was second at the 1995 World Cup in Cyprus
with a score of 147/150 (124+123), sixth at the 2007
European Championship in Granada and third at the 2008
World Cup in Belgrade.
Competing against women's Cypriot
champion Georgia Constantinidou, 40-year-old Del Din has
been shooting for the past 20 years. The last two of
them she has been in great form. She won the bronze at
the 2007 World Games with a score of 85/100 (69+18) and
the silver at the finals of the World Cup in Belgrade.
She was second last year at the World Cup in Suhl,
fourth at the finals of the World Cup, in Minsk and 15th
at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
This year Del Din won
a gold at the first competition of the World Cup in
Cairo, with a performance of 89/100 (70+19).
